Who are The Facepainting Hub - Learning Made Easy?

The Facepainting Hub was created by us, two professional artists Amanda Careford and Elizabeth Gale in 2023, with one simple goal— to make learning face painting easier, more accessible, and genuinely useful for both beginners and on the job professional artists.

Between us, we bring over 22 years of hands-on experience working in the industry. We’ve taught and demonstrated across the UK, as well as internationally in Europe and the USA, including events such as, SPONS, ACE and MAX.

Our work has also featured on well-known learning platforms including Facepaint com, FABAtv, Facepaint Forum Shop, FAM Club and the International Face Painting School (IFPS).

But like many artists, we found that learning online wasn’t always as flexible or accessible as it could be.

So we decided to do things differently.

Specialising in one stroke face painting, our tutorials cover everything from beginner basics like brush control and muscle memory, through to fast, practical, on-the-job designs and masterclasses. All tutorials are filmed in real time, fully audio-visual, and created in both right- and left-handed versions—making them as inclusive and easy to follow as possible.

Our passion for quality doesn’t stop at teaching.

The Facepainting Hub has proudly collaborated with renowned British brushmakers Rosemary & Co to develop custom one stroke and round brushes—designed by Facepainters, for Facepainters, and now trusted by painters across the industry.

We’ve also developed our own line of facepaints, created over the course of a year with a focus on performance, colour balance, and vibrant blends. With features like narrow pans, custom strips, and their ‘signature’ narrow dark strip, these paints are designed to reduce common frustrations like muddying, wasted paint and improve ease of use on the job.

Quality, transparency and safety are at the heart of everything we do.

The Face Painting Hub works with independent cosmetic compliance specialists, to ensure full testing, traceability, and global cosmetic compliance—giving both artists and retailers confidence in every product. All compliance information is easily accessible on their website.
